A personal, non-religious naming ceremony

 

As an independent celebrant, I take time to get to know your family, understand your hopes for your child and create a ceremony that feels genuinely personal to you. Together, we’ll recognise the people who’ll support and guide your child through life, appointing them as Guardians—the modern, non-religious equivalent of godparents.

Your bespoke naming ceremony can include readings, promises, music and symbolic moments, with you, your child’s siblings, grandparents and other relatives taking part, helping all to feel included in the celebrations.

 

A flexible ceremony to fit around you

 

Your ceremony can take place on a day, at a time and venue of your choosing. Because I accept only one booking per day, there’s no time constraints beyond any catering you arrange, and if your child needs feeding, changing or settling, we can commence and continue when you’re ready and comfortable.

 

​Naming ceremonies can be simple and intimate or include a larger gathering. They can be held at home, in your garden, a village hall, hotel, restaurant or any other venue that’s meaningful to you.
