What is a vow renewal ceremony?

 

​A vow renewal is a non-legal ceremony in which a couple celebrate their relationship making new or renewed promises to one another. It can include an exchange of rings, readings, music, and memories from your wedding day, in addition to contributions from family members including grandchildren.

Your ceremony should look and feel like you. I’ll help you create and shape a warm, sincere ceremony script which will capture and reflect your life together; your past, present and future.

Over a pot of tea (or two!), through relaxed, informal conversation, we’ll discuss how your life together has unfolded. I’ll pick up on the subtle, yet important details that make your story unique, then turn them into a beautifully structured ceremony.

From childhood sweethearts and whirlwind marriages to long-term partners, each and every couple has a heart-warming story to share.

Choose a meaningful date and venue

 

Your vow renewal ceremony should be held somewhere that’s meaningful to you; at home, in your garden, village hall, hotel, restaurant or any other setting of your choosing. I’ll be flexible to fit with you, and with the added reassurance you’ll be my only commitment that day.

 

Past celebrations have included a Ruby anniversary in a village hall in France, a Silver anniversary at the hotel where the couple first met, and a garden party with live music for rock-and-roll musicians Steve and Jo. No two vow renewals are alike!

What Happens on the Day?

I’ll arrive in good time, help settle any nerves and liaise with your venue, caterers, family and friends. I’ll lead your ceremony with genuine warmth, joy and sincerity, sharing your story with those you love.
